Die Knuipe

Year 2020, please, be nice to us!

Posted by Mervi on January 8, 2020 at 8:35 AM

Dear friends! The year 2020 is rolling. Even though this year had a miserable start with the fires in Australia and the tragedy in Krefeld I hope the rest of the year will be better!

Dear friends! I think it's time to put an end to the political discussions here. Discussing the climate change is, of course, an important topic that concerns us all but the other things can be discussed in other forums. This is my wish especially when we celebrate Knutitours' 12th anniversary tomorrow! I want it to be a happy day because this blog was created to connect people!

Aus Great Britain machen

MERVI - I hope, the problems will be solved soon. Its indeed very
anoying, to cope with the problems here and in the Back-Room.
But we do our best, trying it several times, to come in here... :)

Ralph - Watching the polar bear mothers nursing their cubs is pure balm to our souls! Uncle Sergej agrees and has created a 'Cubbie Cocktail' for us! :D

Enjoying all the pictures of the new baby Polar Bears. It is so nice to see how carefully the big mothers look after them.
I will be at the bar.

On a much happier note I am making good progress on my report about my visit to Doncaster. Nobby does not feature so much as he slept a lot but Victor, Pixel and Nissan gave me some good photo opportunities

Chris Your comments about UK and US would please Mr Farage and the Brexit supporters. They argue that Germany looks after its own interests only. They used Kohl's forcing Bush and Mitterrand to accept his fast timetable for German unity followed by the treatment of Greece in the Euro crisis to persuade voters that UK could not look to Europe any more but had to turn to the US. As I wrote earlier things dont work out as people hoped. I voted in 1975 for the European Community in part because I admired Schmidt and West Germany. I have to admit I did not vote at all this time.

Good morning! Guten Morgen! Unfortunately the server has been causing great problems again. One minute the Knuipe is working and next minute it's gone .... Grrrr!!!!! - However, we seem to be a very stubborn lot because there are so many comments here anyway! Thank you all for your patience. Maybe we've learnt that from our polar bear ladies? :D

Yeo - It's wonderful that you can already walk with the walking sticks! The 'reha system' in Germany is great! I hope you will have your time there soon.

Patricia - The afternoon will come soon and then you can dance into the weekend! :D

Britta-Gudrun - You managed to get in the Knuipe, too! It's so annoying when it's not working properly!

Chris - The webs gururs are trying to solve the problems but sometimes it takes quite a long time.

Only Aalborg has a webcamera in Malik's den so we can follow this sweet family whenever we want. Finally we've got some news from NORA AND HER BABY, too, in KWM!

I wish everybody a very pleasant Friday!

Good morning dear all!

Herkules and breakfast are ready.
Enjoy your meal!
Thank you all for your good wishes.

@ Dear Mervi, I wish you speedy recovery!

I wish you all a pleasant Friday and a good start in the weekend.

Man muss oft versuchen, bevor man reinkommt.

Germany is a member of NATO. There is not a problem with Rammstein.
Do not forget Putin. Germany is not able to defend itself.

I wonder why the american troops are still here.
Russians, French and British troops have left
Germany - why not the US? Because they
need Germany as a platform for their wars
in Middel-East, especially the hospital and
the big air-field in Rammstein ! ;)

I have started on my Doncaster report and hope to have it ready next week.

Chris Not everything revolves around Germany. Gorbachev needed both Reagan and Thatcher to help him overcome his hardliners. Gorbachev could not have persuaded them without the build up of weapons by the US and UK (supported by Schmidt and then Kohl).
150,000 men and women from the UK served in Germany to defend it and us

RALPH - I wonder, that you mention Thatcher and Reagan.
It was Bush Senior and Gorbatshov, who made the german
wonder possible. France and Great Britain were sceptical.
Mitterand do not want the German Einheit and Thatcher
did nothing for us, nor stupid B-movie-actor Reagan. :p
