Dear friends! Although the Winters nowadays are not even close to those we had when we were younger I wish you all a pleasant season - with or without snow!

Dear Mervi,
yesterday I had to catch up on a sleepless night from the previous night and have therefore unfortunately missed the happy anniversary celebration, but today I have no "hangover" or headache from alcohol.
Patricia, I find the origin for your favorite day wonderful and also the reasoning to save this day from your childhood into adulthood is quite great class and very wise! Thank you very much for your explanations.
Patricia - I can hardly believe it myself - Knutitours has been going for 15 years! Of course, it's not only me that keeps it going. I'm truly grateful to all reporters and photographers who generously let me use their stuff.
Uncle Sergej has opened a magnum bottle of his best champagne so I just say 'cheers'!
Dear Mervi, it is just incredible: Knutitours is turning 15 years !!! It looks to me as if we started only yesterday and yet, we all have had storms and good weather (by way of saying). Like the others, I hereby want to thank you for having created this place and for your dedication during all these years.
And also, thank you for the news about Gudrun and Simone.
Britta-Gudrun, indeed, Tuesday has been my favourite day since my childhood. When I was a little child, we had a comic weekly arriving in our mail box on Tuesday. As as from the moment, I learned to read, I loved it. To be honest, whereas my other brothers and sisters stopped reading it at the age of about 14, I continued until the day that its publication definitely stopped (and I was then 35 years!!). But I have always been a comic adept. And after that historical event/disaster, I decided that I will keep Tuesday as the best day of the week, because Monday being the hardest working day of the week, Tuesday still offers the benefits of the rest during the weekend and one can look forward to the middle of the working week. I know that this reasoning is a bit silly, but for me, it always made sense.
Ludmila, Ralph, Britta-Gudrun - Thank you for your kind greetings!
I always loved to publish photos - especially in the Winter - of the polar bears in Novosibirsk but for the time being I can't do it. The animals are innocent but .... However, I just have to share this link to the video of Kai playing with a big ball. Simply wonderful to see.
this is an anniversary to celebrate, and rightly so! Regarding the celebrations, Uncle Sergej with his high-proof specialties is again 100% reliable, as your great collages also show in KM.
How many wonderful memories come back with your collages:
Flocke with her pink handbag, who was married to Raspi against our wishes and spent the money with full paws via credit card from who else?, the royal troika in Vienna, our fight against the Yellow Press with Berliner Weiße with Tschüss, the bus service to the bears in Orsa and of course your bright red suitcase in Berlin - simply magical and unforgettable.
Thank you for the memorylane for today's anniversary and chapeau for your indestructible stamina even in sad and stormy times!
Big Hugs Britta-Gudrun & Django
Mervi herzlichen Glueckwunsch zum Jubilaeum und danke für die Nachricht und Fotos von "Mother" Gudrun mit ihrer Tochter Simone!
TODAY WE CELEBRATE KNUTITOURS 15TH ANNIVERSARY! There's a little article in KM with some of my collages made during these years. Mind you, there are hundreds of them so it wasn't easy to choose ....
I wish everybody a happy Hump Day! Take care! Uncle Sergej and Madame Nini are preparing a party in the evening.
Patricia - Your dinner sounds very yammy! - For a couple of days ago I received an email from Gudrun. She has suffered from covid and she even had a nasty fall but now she's been able to visit the zoo. She and Simone were on a cruise in October and a new cruise is planned in March. So the old lady is still going strong! She sent me this photo of herself and Simone taken during the October cruise:
So, now I was first in the KM at the charming polar bears in Rostock.
Patricia, is Tuesday generally your favorite day or does the day itself have a special meaning? I sincerely hope that you recover quickly from your pneumonia and that you continue to indulge in good food.
Hello Dear All, it is my favourite day.
Dumba, you are right. One can only give love and attention to others when one is loving him/her self. It makes one able to share these feelings with others and has nothing to do with being selfish.
Ludmila, now I really envy you for the warm temperatures. Have a good time there.
Yeo, there are more pleasant things in life than paying a visit to the Devil in Disguise.
Mervi, still not smoking and believe me, I will remember you on the right time of your future plans (hihihi). Yes, luckily, I enjoy cooking. Yesterday, I made something very easy: an oven plate with mixed veggies and potatoes. Red onion in thin slices, 1/3 butternut in thin slices, red and yellow paprika (1/4 of each), 150 gr. mushrooms in thin slices, 20 cherry tomatoes in thin slices and small potatoes cut in 2; add pepper and salt and herbes de provence and some olive oil; cover it with alu foil and put it in the oven (195°C) during 75 minutes (na ja, pending on the quantity of course, it will take longer).
By the way, I have a question. Has somebody some news about Gudrun and Simone?
Britta-Gudrun - It's very kind of you to write here even if you planned a 'day-off'. I really appreciate it. We are not so many left here ....
Ralph - I remember very well how you used to write about the good moments with your mother.
Patricia - I wish you best of luck with your stop-smoking. If you can make it I will try it, too! You're a good cook so enjoy your dinner on your favourite day!
Dumba - You're right. Sometimes we try to be 'good samarians' and forget ourselves.
Ludmila - I wish you and Uwe a good time in the Dominican Republic!
Yeo - I hope your appointment with the Devil In Disguise went well.
In KM you can meet SIZZEL, SKADI AND KAJA enjoying a white day in Rostock.
Britta.Gudrun .. You gave wise and probably helpful words to Dave.
I personally think the most important is to be aware that nonverbal communication
is as important and valuable as verbal communication is!
It is difficult to not over estimate own impressions (we never know what a person that is on its last way really realizes, thinks and feels .. and sometimes it demands quite a lot of self-control to avoid to get in negative mood and to act irritated or even unfriendly which sometimes is not too easy . . . but necessary anyway, also for once own inward peace . . . . Good Luck in this respect to everyone who has to cope with it! . . . And wit hall due respect and consideration for your loved ones: don.t forget yourselves. That.s respectable and necessary to keep the own forces/energy together . . .
Hello Dear All, today we also have grey, foggy and cold weather. On Saturday morning, we had a thin layer of snow (although other parts in Belgium got more of the white stuff) and as soon as the sun came through, it was gone. But it was wonderful to see the sun and believe me, I am missing it today. But the good news is: every morning and every evening, we are having 3 extra minutes of light per day. So, at the end of this month, we will already have a serious difference of daylight compared to the dark days of the Xmas time.
I hope that Chris is having a great time with her friends and that she is having nice weather.
Dumba, thank you so much for the wishes in the Back Room. As you know, I can only read there, but not post. But I appreciate your kindness.
For the rest, I am not doing much during the day, apart from feeding the cats and the birdies and preparing my own meals. Luckily, there is nothing wrong with my appetite. And yes, at this moment, I am not smoking (thanks to patches) and did not smoke since January 6. And in all honesty, I hope that this time, I really can stop, but it is hard.
