Dear friends! This Summer will be as 'strange' as the Spring was. I hope the sweet memories of the Super Summer 2007 will help us to stay in a good mood!

Reading the article by Anita about Quintana leaving Munich, I know that she is worried whether Giovanna will cope with the two Nanook/uqs.
I shall be keeping my fingers crossed that like Nela in Emmen, Giovanna will find having two bears to play with is fun and not a nuisance. We know that at first La Donna will want them to show her respect and she may show her temper.

Hello dear all!

Dear Mervi! Thank you for publishing the report about Quintana in the KWM!
I wish her the best in the new Zoo and a Happy Life.

Today is the weather warm and sunny and I spend the afternoon in the garden with a Thriller. :)

I wish you all a pleasant afternoon!

Good morning! Guten Morgen!

Chris - Charlotte is obviously very satisfied with her new home. It's a pure pleasure to see her in the water.

Dumba - Thank you for the breakfast. As usual I was too late to get a croissant but I was perfectly happy with the crumbs. :D - Because the video is rather long I'll watch ither later.

We've been lucky to follow Quintana in Anita's reports from Hellabrunn. Now she had to say 'bye bye' to her fluffy friend. You can see her TRIBUTE TO QUINTANA in KWM.

I wish everybody a pleasant week and a good Monday! Please, don't forget 'you-know-what'! Remember - Patience is our middle name! :D

Britta-Gudrun - I hope you and Django have had a pleasant Sunday.

Ralph - I like the rhinos, too. They are lovely animals with the cutest ears!

Dave - How great you could have the test made and then visit your mother. Now that the situation in many countries is getting better people really should be patient and respect all the recommendations. Unfortunately the 'Covidiots' haven't got a clue of what this is all about.

Uncle Sergej will treat us all with his Sunday Surprise. Please, don't ask me what's in it .... :D

Good Afternoon.

Our 12 consecutive days of higher than 30C temperatures finally came to an end yesterday when we got a thunderstorm, 35mm of rain and 25C. Unfortunately it was moving day for my brother, but we managed to avoid the heavy downpours. The next couple of days will hover around the mid 20s and no rain until Thursday.

I have been slowly getting my garage door painted due to the extreme heat and clear skies. Paint does not like heat and direct sunlight so I have been getting up at 6:30AM to paint while it's cool and shady. If the temperatures stay in the 20s I should be finished that part of the garage repairs soon.

I received my Covid test result last Tuesday so I visited my mom on Friday morning for 45 minutes. She is doing well, but I hope that we can get her out for day trips soon. I will see her again tomorrow and maybe Wednesday too.

The Covid infection numbers in Canada have fallen to the point that all the new cases are coming from the 2 most populous provinces-Quebec and Ontario. Our neighbours to the south are heading in the other direction very quickly and the majority of Canadians want to keep the border closed to non-essential travel. It may stay that way until the fall or longer if the Americans can't get it under control.

Around here things have started to "normalise". I got a haircut last week for the first time since March 5. Some streets have been closed to cars to allow restaurants to set up patios for serving food since indoor activities are still curbed. Other streets have been narrowed to allow an extra lane for bicycles and people to assist in physical distancing. Starting tomorrow a new bylaw takes effect regarding the mandatory wearing of masks inside stores and other establishments. I wear a mask anyways but it will be interesting to see how the anti Covid idiots(Covidiots) handle it.

Ralph - I don't know how long the flight is to see Flocke, but if you wear a mask and take a package of wipes and some hand sanitiser you should be OK. Flying was nerve wracking before Covid as I am not one for crowds.

Time for a walk and maybe some more painting since it is cooler today.

Have a nice Sunday.

Yeo hope your husband will get better.
Friends often say that I am only interested in Polar Bears, but the Asian Rhinos in KWM are among many animals that I find interesting too.
The Cotswold bears are making short work of Annemaries Rissoto.
Wishing everyone a peaceful Sunday evening. Stay safe.

Good morning! Guten Morgen!

Annemarie - What a great idea of your team to give you a 'telephone bulletine'! I'm so glad the birds and the squirrels have nice feeding places in our Knugarden. - Uncle Sergej - the old silver fox - gave us a tricky code but I think I managed to find the right answer (without googling)! :D - I think the 'Schweinefilet mit Pilzrahmsauce' is a good choice on a chilly day. - Thank you for the charming Sunday greetings! - Monika's video is lovely! The black baby with the white socks is adorable.

Yeo - Thank you for the breakfast! I'm sending my best 'get-well-soon' greetings to your husband. Hopefully his leg will be Ok soon.

In Nuenen the RHINOS HAD A PARTY and Hans Muskens was, of course, invited. You can see his photos in KWM now. By the way - it's Hans' birthday so maybe you can wish him a 'happy birthday', too if you write a comment ....

I wish everybody a most pleasant Sunday! Please, don't forget you-know-what!

Was ist schwerer? Ein Kilo Gold oder ein Kilo Silber?
A.) Beides ist gleich schwer/Code 5
B.) Das Gold//Code 50

Thank you for your warm wishes for my husband. He is today a little better, but not much. I Hope, it will better in the next days

Good morning! Guten Morgen!

Yeo - I wish your husband a speedy recovery! What bad luck to be bit by an UFI (Unknown Flying Insect). Hopefully the medicine will help! - Thanks for the breakfast!

Ralph - In these days we can't make any definite plans but we need something to look forward to. Be patient - I'm sure you will meet Flocke and her trio!

Britta-Gudrun - The sky is so cloudy that I can't even see the stars but I'm trying to keep my eyes open and look for the comet. - Yes, Caren and MoniK have posted nice reports from the Gnadenhof in KWM.

After the re-opening of the zoo and the Tierpark Gudrun has been a regular visitor. Today you can enjoy her report from the Tierpark in KWM.

I wish everybody a cosy Saturday! Remember - 'Patience' is our middle name so keep the distance and wear a mask. Avoid crowds!
