What an unusual Spring this is!

Dear friends! In the previous thread I was wondering what the Spring would be like this year. Now we know it's most 'odd' due to the covid-19 virus. The world isn't the same it was only a few weeks ago. I hope we will all stay in good health and keep an optimistic mind. Better times will come - sooner or later!

Mervi At least Tina has reached a good age. Sometimes we have say goodbye to quite young animals. Fortunately many Zoo animals do live much longer than in the wild. The important thing is that all Zoos have vets who are able to make the last years far less painful than in the wild. Every day these Vets face decisions of life and death with their charges, I would propose a toast tonight to both vets and doctors in these troubled times

I have some sad news from the Zoo Mulhouse. Polar bear Tina has died at the age of 34. According to the zoo the cause of the death was stroke.

Ralph - 'Chatting' with the animals in the zoo is always fantastic. We need no words but we seem to understand each other! :D

Britta-Gudrun - My experience is that if I ask a hairdresser take 3 cm she/he will take at least 10. It seems to be the same everywhere. :D

Ludmila - I hope your cat gang is still living in peace and harmony.

Britta Gudrun It is always interesting to see which animals in the Zoo are interested in visitors. Polar Bears seem especially curious. But rhinos and giraffes are too. Some apes and monkeys find us interesting but quite often they will choose to hide from us.
Milak and Shouka show in KWM that the blue barrel is the international currency of Polar Bears.
I will look in later for a drink.

Good morning! Guten Morgen! We did our grocery shopping very early during the 'seniour hour' and after that I needed a visit in the Napland. :D - I was wearing a mask for the first time and it was OK except that my eyeglasses got 'steamy'. :D

Britta-Gudrun - Many animals in the zoos really like to see their visitors. Knut was a good example of that and especially polar bears seem to like the interaction between them and their fans. Ralph's photos are also good examples.

Ludmila - How wonderful to see a deer in the garden!

Dumba - Thanks for the link to the nice photos!

In KWM you can meet MILAK, SHOUKA and other cuties in the Zoo Sauvage de Félicien.

I wish everybear and everybody a happy Hump Day!

Good morning! Guten Morgen!
Today in the morning I saw a deer in our garden. He or she ate our flowers :)
Unfortunately we could not take a picture, a deer run away.

Guten Morgen!

Ralph - I hope Milana's baby gets an unique name, too.

Dumba - Thanks for the link. I only saw the cute elephant now - I'll watch the rest later.

Annemarie - Meng Meng, Pit and Paule are adorable! It must have been fantastic to see them 'live'.

Britta-Gudrun - Django has his own 'Unter den Linden'. :D

I knew that Ludmila and Uwe would bring us back some gorgeous images from Hannover. The report in KWM is very detailed and Milana is another very impressive mother. I hope that the zoo is going to choose a nice name for her.
I am getting used to my new routines and have plenty to keep me occupied. BBC Radio is a very good companion. I have just been listening to Woman's Hour while sorting out some old magazines. I have a supermarket Broccoli Quiche for my meal later on.
Raise a glass later on and stay safe.

Good morning! Guten Morgen! The sun is shining again and the world is going around despite of covid-19! :D

Ludmila - Thank you so much for the photos from Hannover in KWM. Milana's baby girl already shows she has inherited her mama's power and energy. :D - I wish Speedy a nice Summer time outdoors .... and the same to the frog/s, too!

Britta-Gudrun - I wish you best of luck with your preparations for the Summer season! I wonder if Django has a favourite flower or plant in the garden?

Have a great Tuesday! Stay chilly - be cool! Better times are around the corner - at least I hope so!

Molche haben wir im Herbst gesehen. Vielleicht sind sie da. Der Frosch und Speedy werden sich arrangieren. Die Froscheier wird Speedy sicherlich essen.

Ludmila - Momo seems to be a very sweet cat. I'm sure he's having a good time with you - and the other cats even though they don't 'chat' so much. :D

Britta-Gudrun - How great you could carry out your project in the graveyard.
