Dear friends! I want to thank you for being here during the year 2019. Despite the technical problems we've been able to keep our Knuipe going. Let's hope the year 2020 will be good for us all - in every possible way!

Gute Besserung
Bei uns waren heute 6°C und grau.
For the drive to work we do not need the snow.
I take a Polar Bear Toddy

Chris, Patricia - The weather conditions really aren't what they used to be. Everything seems to be up side down.

Britta-Gudrun - It's very wise of you to let your hand rest. I have to take 'hand resting days' every now and then.

Uncle Sergej is tempting you with a Polar Bear Toddy which despite of it's name is very hot! :D

PATRICIA - you are right about Greece.
In Athens they had only 6 celsius, :)
in Frankfurt we had about 10 today.
And even Stockholm had 6 celsius.
We had the last heavy snowfall in
December 2010, where I had to
shovel snow for four weeks...

MERVI - was trinken wir heute ?

Good evening Dear All, the best day of the week is almost over and as you may recall, I love Tuesdays (isn't it, Mervi).
Funny to read about the snow in certain parts of Europe. But hey, sweeties, you are forgetting Greece. According to my newspaper, Greece and especially the islands are suffering from heavy snow weather.
Tja, what shall I say: as I told Ilse, my favorite colleague, I bought the Sorel snow boots in September 2013 in order to be prepared for another snowy Winter (like the ones we knew in the Winters of 2009, 2010, 2011, 2012 and 2013. And guess what happened: ever since then barely a snow flake!!!!
Wait and see what February will bring us this year.

MERVI - fortunately in the north they have snow.
Its the same in the alpes, especiially in Tirol and
in parts of Switzerland. There they have massive
danger of avalanges. I was skiing in Fis/Ladis
sometimes. They have as much snow there,
as ever in history - isn t that crazy ?
But Germany is green, from the alpes to the coast.
Even Feldberg in Taunus has absolutly no snow. ;)

Chris - The temperatures are crazy but in Lapland there's more snow than ever. In Sodankylä 75 centimeters were measured today and it's about the same in the whole area. Usually there are 'only' 40 centimeters.

Knuti-Judi - I wish you a pleasant Tuesday. Any snow in sight?

Entgegen den Wettervorhersagen war es heute sonnig und mild.
So war ich lange am Fluss unterwegs und habe dabei seltene
Wintergaeste gesehen: Gaensesaeger und Reiherenten. :D

MERVI - in whole Europe we have plus temperatures.
Even in Helsinki, Stockholm and Oslo - thats very
unusual for the beginning of January.
Is that the winter of the future?

ANNEMARIE - das Video mit Hertha ist klasse! Sie
balanciert auch schon sehr geschickt mit dem Ball.

I hope, you have a nice time with your family !

Good morning! Guten Morgen! Dear fluffy angel - a foggy day in Malmö town again.

Annemarie - This time last year we were keeping our fingers crossed for Hertha's well being and now - a year after we can see in Monika's video that our ice princess has developed to a very beautiful and playful polar bear girl. Thank you for the link!

Ludmila - Thank you for the report from Anori's birthday in KWM!

I wish everybody a most pleasant Tuesday!

Chris - Karl Geiger was second today. There are many good German jumpers even this year. I miss Andreas Wellinger who's having a 'year off' but hopefully will be back next season. I guess Severi Freund has ended his career after the severe injury. - I'll check the video later.

Ralph - Thank you for the email! Have a good time in London!
