Dear friends! I want to thank you for being here during the year 2019. Despite the technical problems we've been able to keep our Knuipe going. Let's hope the year 2020 will be good for us all - in every possible way!

MERVI - our boys played well against Netherlands.
Handball is not one of my favorite sports, but if there
is an international tournament, I watch the matches.
My visit to London on Tuesday to see an old friend went very well. She had found a very interesting Toy Shop that specialised in Dolls House furniture but also had lots of interesting old toys. Needless to say I added Polar Bears to my collection.

This snow globe based on the Norwegian story, made into a film, about the Polar Bear King who is released from a witches spell by a beautiful princess. In my case my beautiful princess would be a very old white furry lady.
The events in Australia are a nightmare. As a Brit I feel especially close to the country as I have met many Australians over the years.
I am in the main Library in Oxford and will raise a glass with Uncle Sergei to all those in peril, both human and animal

Chris - It's heart breaking to see what has happened and is happening in Australia. At the same time it's heart warming to see how people are taking care of injured and orphaned animals. - I don't care so much about handboll so I never follow it. One of the few sports I don't follow.

Mervi, flooding in the kitchen is a nightmare. Glad to read that the problem now in under control, but I hope that soon all is solved and working properly again.
Milana's baby is so cute.
Yeo, ah well, you will have to go earlier than foreseen, but the advantage is that all will over over sooner as well.
Here in Everbeek, it was again a dull rainy grey day.
Today, I was not feeling well and I think that it is because of the Prevenar vaccin I got yesterday. Hope that I will be better tomorrow and that the weekend is better.
And now, I really have to go to KWM (because there is a lot to read).
Wishing you all a quiet evening.

started after the rain, and as I returned home,
the rain came back - now pooring rain again.!
MERVI - the Handball tournament starts today.

Nun hatte ich mich auf die Operation am 20. 1. vorbereitet.
Heute morgen bekam ich einen Anruf vom Krankenhaus, dass ich nun schon am kommenden Donnerstag operiert werde!
Ich habe noch so viel zu tun und stehe jetzt vollkommen neben mir. So schnell kann sich alles ändern.

Mervi, eine Ueberschwemmung von der Wasch-oder Spuelmaschine ist der Horror,
hoffentlich kann der Schaden schnell behoben werden. Wir wollten doch einen gemuetlichen Jahresanfang!
Die Schmerzen an der Hand haben sich etwas reduziert, aber Autofahren kann ich damit noch nicht, dafuer wieder etwas besser schreiben.

We have a 'flooding' in our kitchen and we're waiting for a company to come and fix it. Hopefully it won't take too long but the waiting is unBEARable!
Ludmila - Thank you for the second report from Warsaw! The zoo has lots of adorable animals and many of them seem to have nice enclosures, too.
