Dear friends! I've been waiting to write this: The Fall is finally here! I hope we can enjoy the 'ruska colours' and breath in fresh air on crispy mornings. Not everybody likes the dark evenings but they can be rather cosy, too!

Yeo - You're so right! We take the fresh water - both cold and warm - for granted when so many people in this world haven't even got drinking water. We can take showers, we can do the laundry, wash the dishes when we feel like it. The interruptions are most unwelcome! I'm glad to hear you got the water back rather soon. - How are your arm and knee today?
Britta-Gudrun - Shopping clothes is always a nightmare for me. I hate the small cabins with the mirrors that show me an elephant trying to get in those slacks .... :-) I hope you have found something anyway!
The snow has fallen in both Ranua and Orsa so our white fluffy friends can enjoy their favourite season. In KWM you can find a little article from ORSA.

Heute fahre ich mit einer Freundin in ein Einkaufszentrum zum Shoppen.
Hoffentlich finde ich etwas. Bekleidungsstücke anzuprobieren ist immer etwa anstengend....
Ein kleiner Imbiss ist natürlich auch eingeplant! Das gehört einfach dazu.
Yeo, vor Jahren war ich in dem selben Einkaufszentrum, da war dort der Strom für 2 Stunden ausgefallen. Man konnte nicht mal einen Kaffee trinken, denn weder Maschinen noch Kassen funktionierten, das war schon heftig.
Kaffee mit Sprudelwasser ist eine gute Lösung!

Am in the big Library in Oxford and have collected my new phone, which is the same type as the previous one.
My thoughts after the weekend will turn to the December trip to Berlin. It is sad that so few non Berliners will be there this time, but none of us are getting any younger..
If all goes to my present plan, I will get to Berlin on Thursday 5 December and stay until Sunday 8 December. Then as in previous visits I will go to Gelsenkirchen and fly home from Dusseldorf.
I had hoped that the Aalborg girls would move to Paira Daiza Brussels by now.
I will join you in a drink this evening

I think Dave is right. I have ordered a new phone so that I have more room for photos. I think I know where the Knuphone has slipped to, but I shall leave moving the books for the time being.
Today there is sun instead of the rain at the weekend, so I am going to leave the Library and go and do some Christmas Polar Bear shopping in Oxford.

Good Morning.
I was skeptical about the weather forecast for 20mm of rain, but it started yesterday at 6:30PM and it is still raining, although not as heavy.
Today I have a lunch date with friends in Woodbridge, which is a small town near Toronto. The three of us have birthdays September, October and November so we get together at the "Memphis BBQ". My yearly meal is the "Elvis Platter". It features 3 side ribs, 1/2 pound of pulled pork, 1/2 pound of wings, baked beans, cornbread, fries and coleslaw. I will get two meals out of that platter.
Later in the afternoon when I get home, I have to get my suit ready for a funeral tomorrow. Then I have the rest of the day to relax.
Mervi - We don't change the clocks until next weekend. it is rare that Europe switches before us. Very late this year. Usually it happens before Halloween.
