Dear friends! It's already Midsummer so I thought it's time for a new thread. Let's hope the rest of this Summer will bring us pleasant temperatures instead of the extreme heat or awful storms!

Good morning! Guten Morgen!
We had a thunderstorm in the morning. Now the sun is shining again.

Britta-Gudrun - Django knows how to deal with the hot days - and nights! :D

Patricia - The farmers in Sweden are afraid they will lost more than half of their harvest this year. Why the hell can't we get some rain????

Ludmila - I'll have a big glass of lemonade, too!

I am sorry for the farmers too, but not because of fruits and veggies. Our trees are full of apples, pears and plums. The tomatoes look great. Our farmers have problems with wheat and corn. the stock farmer have problems with the hey.
Im Wald war heute Abend angenehm. Ich habe viele Leute getroffen.

Uncle Sergej made fresh lemonade for us

Good evening Dear All, this morning, it was 21°C at 4:30 a.m. in Leuven, but there was a gentle breeze. During the rest of the morning, there were a lot of dark grey clouds in Brussels and I was hoping for some more rain, but nada niks. Luckily, thanks to this breeze, it was all bearable but the heath is still inside the house. My cats are eating a bit better.
But most of all, I have mercy with the farmers: they desperately need water for the fields and harvests of whatever kind. Nevertheless, it is now already for sure that we will know the prices for veggies and fruit in Fall.
The story in Spitsbergen is another sad one where the animal has to pay with his life because of the stupidity of the human intruder.
Dear Mutti, the accident with the water supply is really disastrous at this moment. I hope that it can be fixed very soon.

Mervi, ich habe in der Wohnung 30 Grad. Ohne Ventilator
koennte ich es nicht aushalten.
Django kommt meistens nachts nach seinem Specialfutter
gucken und versteckt sich am Tag in seinem "Biergarten".

Heisse Gruesse aus dem Suedwesten in die Runde!

The temperature in Malmö is 32 degrees and it's definitely too much for everybody. I hate it, I hate it!

Britta-Gudrun - The cruises with the gigantic ships really are a nuisance in many parts of the world. For example Venice wants to forbid those ships from the harbour. Maybe they are already forbidden - I'm not sure. - Has Django had his special meals today? :D

Teddybärenmutti - Cold drinks are worth gold these days!

Knuti-Judi - I sure hope August will be a cool month - in many ways!

Ludmila - Mimmi and Nalle eat early in the morning and late in the evening but nothing during the day.

Chris - The seal pups are ever so cute!

Hello friends at coffee time!
I drink Ice Herkules today.
Das Ameisenbärkind ist sehr schön.
Wir trinken zu Hause Limonade. Wir nehmen die frischen Johannisbeeren aus dem Garten. Komischerweise die Beeren sind noch da.
It is hot, but our cats eat more as in Juni. Maybe they decided that they need the winter fur now. :)
Today I am enviously of clouds and rain.

Lieber fluffiger Engel!

Es ist immer so heiss. Wir brauchen Esther´s super Giesskanne.
In inseren nachbarstädten ist Wasserleiter unfall. Dort gibt´s kein Leitwasser.

Good morning! Guten Morgen! Dear fluffy angel - even here a new 'heat record' is predicted today. We had to go and buy cat food and it was already extremely hot.

Where's Madame Ester with her teapot? :D I have ordered lots of ice tea ..... :D

Chris - Congratulations to the Frankfurt Zoo! The ant eater baby is very cute. - I hope you'll meet many furred and feathered friends in the evening.

Ludmila - When I look at the grass and the trees I get very sad. They're screaming after water - the grass is brown and the leaves of the trees look awful.

In KWM you'll meet the beautiful manul in the Ranua Zoo. Marko has taken fantastic photos of him again! With 'Manuel' I wish everybody as pleasant Tuesday as possible in this heat!

Ralph - I always get upset seeing head lines like 'A polar bear attacked a man'. Instead the papers should write 'Once again tourists intruded polar bears' home'! As you wrote - it would be better for the tourists to visit animals in a zoo or at least stay in their boat and use binoculars. - Your snack sounds very yammy!

I understand the problems people have with Facebook, but if used carefully, it does contain some beautiful images. I have been spending time with Raspi, Flocke and Hope on the Raspi Polar Bear blog. A tip for non facebook users. You can google this site and access the pictures without signing up to Facebook, as long as you do not want to comment.
I am enjoying being in the Library in Oxford which is also nice and cool. I have a confession to make, McDonalds does a version of the German Nordsee Fischbroetchen with cod in bread crumbs, which I eat on the way home.
A Polar Bear has been shot in Norway because visitors were too close to it. I am always writing that it would be better to leave the wild bears in peace and go and see the Zoo bears. In return for safety and food they allow us to see them and we should leave their wild relatives in as much peace as possible.
