Die Knuipe

10 years is a respectable age for a blog!

Posted by Mervi on January 24, 2018 at 11:55 AM

Dear friends! So much has happened on the stage of the Knutitours during it's existance. Ten years is a long time although sometimes I feel it was only yesterday the journey started. It's time to remember .... and it's time to look forward!

Britta-Gudrun - Believe it or not but I'm getting tired of the Olympic Games. Somehow I miss the real feeling. :D I'm watching anyway because it will take four years until the next Winter games.

Ludmila - I hope your snowdrops will survive the cold weather.

Chris - Uncle Sergej promised to mix a nerv calming drink before the game begins tomorrow. :D

Ralph - Thank you for the emails! I'll start working on them as soon as possible.

Dumba - The wild dog puppies are ever so cute!

PATRICIA ROBERTS - Hope you are safe!
Thinking of you. Sorry that again Belgium/Brussels has to cope
with such kind of danger!

Do have a look at the book LEAF, it is very beautiful, and not just for children.
I have sent the YWP report to Mervi. I am afraid my photos are nowhere near as good as those on Facebook, but they are able to illustrate the story.
If there are any problems, I am in Oxford Library between 1820 and 1945 UK time and on Saturday morning.

Ja, es weht ein eisiger Nordostwind.
Wir haben jetzt den Sonnenstand
wie Oktober mit Sommerzeit. :)
Da hatten wir über 20°C.
Die polare Luft aus Russ-
land bzw. Skandina-
vien machts - fröstel.
Aber in der Sonne
ist es schön. :D

LUDMILA - I´ll check you report
in the evening, after my tour. :)

MERVI - ich mache heute bei
Olympia Pause - morgen
dann das Halbfinale
mit unseren Jungs! :)

See you all in the afternoon ! :)

Hello friends at coffee time!
The days are longer as in January now, the sun is shining, but it is cold. Yesterday we had about 2°C at the midday, today is about 0°C. It will get colder in the next days. I am worried about all snowdrops, which started to bloom.
Minka likes to go out. Now it is cold outside. Minka goes out and stays at the door. Then she goes inside and looks angry :)
I have a big jar with orange juice at the table#5 for us all

Guten Morgen!

Good morning! Guten Morgen! Dear fluffy angel - after our one-day-Winter there's Spring in the air. The sun is shining in a clear blue sky.

Ludmila - Thank you for the report from Moab in KWM! What magnificent sceneries! - The birds must establish a fan club for you and Uwe! :D

Ralph - I'm looking forward to your report. I've seen wonderful photos in FB and I'm sure you have a lot to tell us.

Knutilda - I hope you had a nice birthday!

Chris - the photos of Anori and Luka are wonderful and so funny, too!

I wish everybody a pleasant TDT!

I am for hot drink too. It is cold outside.
We got a huge sack with sun flower seeds (25kg), our birds have enough food for some weeks. I hope it will be warm in March.

Just treated myself to a lovely children's
book called LEAF by Sandra Dieckmann
Beautifully illustrated and of course its
about a Polar Bear.
I will be in the Library tomorrow working
on a report about the Doncaster bears.
The Facebook site has some gorgeous
pictures but mine will be rather less sharp.
I hope to show a bit about each bear.

How about a hot drink against the cool air outside?
A king, who has a fireplace in these frosty days! :D

Marco Sturm has formed an excellent team in the last years.
He was born in 1976 - maybe this is a good sign for this
tournament ( 1976 Bronze Medal for German Team ).

Chris - Everything's possible! The German Team played with good self confidence and know they can beat any team. Of course, a team always needs a bit luck, too!
