MERVI - aber im Sommer haben wir ja die Fußball WM.
(obwohl ich noch gar nicht weiß, ob ich dann schaue)
Man sollte Russland eigentlich boykottieren. Ich hoffe ja
immer noch, dass sie Quatar absagen.....
Nicht zu vergessen, auch die Eishockey WM
kommt noch (wenn hier schon Sommer ist).
Es ist sehr merkwürdig mit der Server Family.
Ich kam ja letzte Woche auch mal nicht rein.
Es scheint sehr davon abzuhängen, welches
Betriebssystem und/oder welchen Browser
der Einzelne benutzt ! ?

Ich kann die Sportreporter nicht leiden. Die Teilnahme an Olympia ist für einen Sportler einen riesigen Erfolg. Es steckt enorme Arbeit dahinter. Die Reporter reden die Leistungen klein, wenn es nicht um Gold geht.

Reading an article today which summed up the medal issue. When a top athlete like Ms Kim gets Gold we do not expect her to be happy with silver but the Kenyan bobsleigh team are the first team from Africa to be in the Winter Olympics wherever they come in the race. Guess its a case of perspective.

Chris - I already thought everybody's having problems getting in here. - I agree totally with what you wrote about stupid reporters who only seem to accept gold and nothing else. I appreciate an athlet doing his/her best result no matter what the ranking will be. - Now it's time for an evening drink! Cheers!

I was in the sun at the rowing club, on the protected terrace.
We have a chilly wind today, but there it was warm.
The swans visited us and the geese were at the opposite shore.
MERVI - ich habe mich gestern schon geärgert,
dass sie von unserer Staffel Gold erwartet haben.
Die Sportreporter sind so dumm - was haben wir
geholt ? Gar nichts....
Ich stelle oft den Ton ab, weil ich das Dummgebabbel
der Reporter nicht ertrage - oft haben sie keine Ahnung
von den gezeigten Sportarten...
Auch missfällt mir, das Silber und Bronze kaum
etwas gelten - 4. und 5. Plätze werden gar als
quasi Niederlage eingeordnet. Das ist krank.
Wer mal Sport gemacht hat, weiß
was die Athleten dort leisten ! ! !
