Dear friends! It remains to be seen if the title of this thread will turn true .... This Winter has been unusually long in many parts of the world but let's hope May will bring the warm weather and make the gardens and woods flourish! I've made a little story for you, too:

Finally managed to get into the Knuipe as my phone has kept giving
me the mobile version and not the version called classic which lets me
sign in.
I also have to apologise for my comments on the latest KWM thread on
baby elephants and lions in which I said I preferred other animals. It came
out not quite like I intended, but it did get me thinking about how we have
favourite animals.

In the evening I met the swans,
the youngsters have grown a lot.

We have a lot of Canada geese here.
Three pairs also have youngsters.

Es ist unglaublich, wie Trump auch gegen
die eigene Industrie, wider besseres Wissen,
eine völlig kontraproduktive Politik betreibt.
Er weiß wohl nicht, wie viele Arbeitsplätze
an Windkraft, Solarenergie, Niedrigener-
giehäusern und Elektroautos hängen.
Die Dummheit dieser Politik ist unaus-
sprechlich - sorry, aber das musste
mal gesagt werden.
Die USA isolieren sich immer mehr,
das kann einfach nicht gut sein !

Onkel Sergej hat mir einen IC kredenzt.
Der alte Haudegen erzaehlte, dass er sich zur Zeit viele Videos an unserem Knuipe-PC von der jetzigen Tischtennis-Weltmeisterschaft (noch bis 5.6.17 in Duesseldorf) ansieht. Etwas wehmuetig - aber dennoch gern - denkt er an die schoene Zeit zurueck, als er mit Kumpel Yoghi in unserem Knugarden 'die Turbo-Tatzen' an unserer Tischtennisplatte waren.

Mervi: Vielen Dank fuer Deine tierisch huebsche Postkarte. Hab mich sehr gefreut, man bekommt ja nicht alle Tage Post aus Lappland.
Ludmila: Schoen, dass Du wieder zurueck bist. Zum langen Wochenende kannst Du Dich sicherlich gut erholen von der langen Reise.
Heute war ich in Hannover, aber nicht im Zoo, sondern am Grab meines Vaters. Ich habe es ja in Pflege und fand, es sah gut aus. Es wurde auch gerade frisch begossen von der beauftragten Friedhofs-Verwaltung als ich vor Ort war. - Fuer meinen Mann war dieser kleine Ausflug etwas zu anstrengend, immer wieder mussten wir Pausen einlegen.

Das Verhalten von Minka bei der Begruessung ist typisch fuer viele Katzen, die einen erst einmal durch Nichtbeachtung abstrafen. So, in Gran Canaria war es noch waermer als hier?
Ich bin gespannt auf deine sicher wieder sehr sportlichen Berichte.
Zunaechst wuensche ich erholsame Feiertage nach den Reisestrapazen.

so we are happy with "cooler" temperatures.
By the way, we have 27°C in the moment...
Tomorrow again 30°C.
MERVI - the shopping wen smoothly.
After that, I was relaxing at the river for
an hour (in the shadow), sitting on a
bench and watching the geese on
the meadows. They ate the
green gras - about 30 of
them were visible.

immer so krass wären. Mir würden
die 25°C vollkommen reichen und
nachts schön wohltemperiert. Wir
hatten ja jetzt Tropennächte, nicht
unter 20°C und am Tag über 30°C.

We arrived home after the midnight. Muffin and Ferdi came in our bed for cuddling. Wasja shouted for the food. Sydney said "Hello!" to us. Minka did not appear. In the morning I was afraid that Minka got lose. I called for her outside, then I found her in Micha's room. She did not want to speak with me.

Mervi I have been busy saving May's KWM stories for my library, so will look at the lovely
Copenhagen pictures this evening at home on the Knuphone.
May was certainly a busy month and the various cubs are growing up fast, and of course we have now in some cases been able to meet them in person.
The sun is shining today but the weather is so changeable at the moment, each day brings something new.
I may try to fit in a visit to Doncaster before I go to Munich on 25 May. I would so like to have met Yoghi again, though the glass in Munich would not have allowed me to chat to him as I did when he was swimming in the Berlin Tierpark in Summer 2010.
The various cubs are already showing so many different characteristics.
