It started with a love affair

As far as I know the Yorkshire Wildlife Park is willing to take adult male bears, but I do not
know what their financial arrangements are.

In any case it is now too late, Berlin have made their decision and we can only hope it works.

Hello friends at coffee time!
Last days we had the wonderful sunsets :)
We are all worried about Kati. I can very good understand that you would like to visit Wolodja in Doncaster. Do you really know that the zoo in Dobcaster was willing to take Wolodja? An adult bear costs a lot of money. It is not only a question of the place, he needs food. The zoo would not get more visitors because of a new bear.
Ich hoffe es geht Dir besser.
Do you have still a lot of snow. Yesterday our sky was blue without veil. We have such blue sky very seldom.
I hope your leg is doing well now.
In March we have to visit a vet with Minka. I am afraid of this visit now. Minka is a drama queen :)
I drink Herkules with you

Good morning! Guten Morgen! Dear fluffy angel - the weather gods continue smiling at us although there are already some clouds in the sky. Whatever, there's suddenly Spring in the air.

Britta-Gudrun - I'm looking forward to the photos of your birdies and other interesting objects! :D - Wolodja's fur doesn't look so good but that's a problem for many polar bears. Hopefully he will soon look like the shining white teddy again.

Bärgit - Good luck with the Kaiserschmarrnrezept'. I would never dare even try .... :D

Chris - Larissa seems to be one of the polar bear ladies that is a born thrower. :D - Vera and Lottchen are very 'cuddly' bears. :D

Dumba - Even Flocke would love the pinkish breakfast table! :D - Thank you so much for letting me use your photos for 'my walk in the CCC'!

Yeo - I hope you can enjoy your mornings before it's time for the evening work. Will you be going to the zoo to see Wolodja?

Ralph - I'm already looking forward to your report from Doncaster. Please, blow some kisses from me to the bears - especially many to Nobby, of course! :D

In KWM there's a bit different kind of 'report' today. It's about ..... well, I'm sure you can find it. :D I wish everybody a marvellous TDT!

The book "Polarity Bear in Central Park Zoo" arrived at the weekend and has beautiful artwork, it is a must-have for any Polar Bear fans.
I have been catching up this morning in the Library with all the great articles in KWM ranging from Ludmila's black bears through Dumba's Berlin walks to the pictures of new Life in Aalborg and Ranua.
I remain disappointed that Berlin did not send Wolodja to Doncaster where he would have been made a fuss of and have plenty of enrichment. The Zoo still seems to have an "austere" approach to Polar Bears. I remain very worried about Kati.
I am going to Doncaster on Tuesday as long as the trains work and am also starting to think about when I can go to Berlin again.
There are lots of links in the Knuipe that I will catch up on when I save the thread to my USB.

I will be enjoying Staropramen beer with my friend this evening. We tend to "murmur" after that.

I am hoping to get to Aalborg via the train from Hamburg which will allow me to visit Bremerhaven and Lili one last time. That will probably be in the Summer.

Good morning, dear all!

@ Mervi
Dear Mervi, thank you for the news about Wolodja!
I hope he gets settled quickly and that he is also well-versed with Katjuscha.

@ Dumba
Du hast ja schon etwas Leckeres hingestellt. Vielen Dank! :)

@ Ludmila

In this week I have late service. That is why I have a little more time in the morning.
I wish you all a pleasant Thursday!

Good Morning 'SWEETIES' ( !? ;) )
Here is rather a 'Kaffeeklatsch'-scene than a stimulant breakfast for YOU.
But, may be, some are in the mood for a late Valentines remembrance ;)

kleine Steigung geschafft habe.

Gute Nacht!

Mervi - No excess weight whatsoever. Hüftgold und Übergepäck - that's what all travelers are dreaming of :D
Yes, time is flying.

Dumba - Thank you for tinyurl and the tiny snow princess.

Chris - I hope there will be a good solution for Wolodja and Katjuscha. We want them both to be happy. For the time being I think it's wise to place them in separate enclosures.

Bärgit - Oh bear, BaoBao was born four years ago. The time runs too fast these days - I can hardly follow .... :D At least our bear has enough to eat during the flight. :D

Dumba - The video is so cute and funny!

Mervi - Wouldn't it be nice to know whether Wolodja approves of his new home?
Wonder what he's thinking of Berliner Luft with Katja's and the wolfves perfumes all over his new resort. That must be very special Duftwolke. Wonder whether he thinks this is 'dufte' :D

Inge - I Think I saw you waving across Öresund. :D Yes, we've had a couple of fantastic days. Let's hope the fine weather will stay!

Zoo Berlin has published THE FIRST PHOTOS OF WOLODJA in the Zoo and you can now see them even in KWM. There's also a short video of sweet Fritz!

Mervi, wonderful weather tuesday and to-day. No wind and sun the whole day. Of course cold but with a little spring. Tuesday I visited the Blue Planet with the charming seaotters Agnes and Mojoe. The sky was very clear, and I could wave to Malmø.
Thanks Mervi, my cold is almost over. Sunday I slept the whole day with the cats. They enjoyed it.

Annemarie, gute Besserung.

Patricia, all the best for Heloise. Lots of greetings and thoughts from here.

Ludmila, I do like Sanssouci too. Very nice picture from Claude Monet.

Chris, sweet little fox and goodlooking coloured bird.

Sarsam, oh you have really winter. All the best for you and the animals.

Dave, some friends have visited Canada/Toronto, and what have I got. A sweet card with pictures of Juno.

Britta-Gudrun, oh such sweet cats. Maru and friend.

Dumba, lots of greetings.

And all the best wishes for Katjuscha and Wolodja in Berlin.

I just read in Knutitis forum that Wolodja is now in the bigger polar bear enclosure in the zoo and Katjuscha is in the so called mother-and-cub enclosure. I hope we will soon have a report from the zoo.

Ludmila - I'm a bit late for the coffee but it still smells good. :D

Filomena - I hope you and the cats are having a pleasant day.
