Die Knuipe

Five years with Knutitours!

Posted by Mervi on January 24, 2013 at 12:00 PM

Dear friends! Isn't it unbelievable - Knutitours celebrates today it's 5th anniversary! What a journey we've had together! There has been sunshine, there has been rain - we've had 'deliriously' happy moments and we've had times of deep sorrow. Yes, we've had it all!

I think the words above tell you what I want to say now. Thank you all for being on this tour with me and, of course, our tour goes on and on and on.....

Caren's lovely tribute to Knutitours

Manasse has been a bit bored since Venus only spends time with Ranzo. Teddybärenmutti has been in touch with him

Es ist langweilig /It's boring

Mervi -- We would not want Mimmi and Nalle to feel left out -- may I thank them also for their contributions to Knutitours -- purrs and cuddles to soothe you and Vesa when problems arise!!

Caren, Sarsam - You're right, Vesa certainly deserves an eloge for having patience with a wife who sometimes believes she's a bear! :D

'The southern division' has arrived and they managed to put the snowcake together again. Wisely enough they left it outside.

Vera, Felix and the boys are all so elegantly dressed - Vera is wearing a lovely necklace made of ice. Oh no, it has started to melt already..... Well, the men of the family have black rosettes around their necks. I hope they're not made of licorice because there's a big risk they will be eaten by us. :D

Corinna is carrying a huge bag and I caught sight of a rolling pin and also of something that looked like a dog's collar. Poor Anton! We must try and keep Corinna in a good mood.

Giovanna and Yoghi, the love birds (if we can use that expression of polar bears?) look se sweet holding paws....

Uncle Sergej has opened a big barrel of cod liver oil and also some bottles of champagne so let the party begin. I'm sure there will be more pink buses arriving soon.

Mervi - what a nice treat made by Vesa.
I think we all have reason enough to also thank Vesa for all his patience and taking over so many tasks in order to enable you to spend time for Knutitours and KWM.

Here's to VESA, CHEERS and THANK YOU so much :)

Mervi - the bears will make a huuuuge icebomb for you (instead of the cake) :)

Sarsam- still we do not know what was the real trouble last night. But your method is noted in my book of importancies. Thanks for the valuable tipp :)
Easter 2010 I saw Knuti's quick change from polar to brown bear. You are absolutely right, it reminds of the bears in the commercial, just the other way round :)
Silver is a brave cat when going out at these low temps :)

Sarsam - Thank you! - Yes, our Knuti was a real chameleon and I always remember the expression on his face after the 'make-up' was finished. He looked sooo pleased with himself.

Since this is a special day the knusband offered me a car ride from the office so I didn't have to take the bus. When we came home a lovely buffet was waiting for me - salmon, prawns, sallad, croissants and a yammy cake. Mimmi and Nalle had quality controlled everything - especially the prawns. :D - Vesa had planned to make an ice bomb but there wasn't enough time for that..... :D

Mervi -- Even though I know you saw my post last night, it still bears repeating: " Dear Mervi -- Thank you for all that you do to make it possible for us to say:

Mervi and Caren -- Regarding the "Huge Bear" commercial -- my thoughts upon seeing the whole thing were about Knut and his quick change routine from white to black bear :-) Remember the little boy that was heard saying about Knut when he was covered with make-up -- "that's not a polar bear, that's a black bear" :-)

Caren -- When all else fails with computers, we have found turning everything off and unplugging everything, even from the electricity usually works wonders :-)))

TBM -- Thank you so much for your delightful story of Manasse. Especially since you have had some troubles lately. I hope your mother's eye infection will be over quickly.

Yeo -- My goodness but you got such a wonderful present for being #1 today. Congratulations!!

Annemarie -- I agree with you about cod liver oil -- but it is good for you :-) The goodies in the food safe sound delicious today!

Knuti-Judi and Crissi -- Thank you Crissi for asking for information and thank you K-J for the video on Siku and LuLu -- great to see them!

Susan -- Is your flu about over?

Inge -- How are you feeling today? Greetings to Wapiti, Ms. Rose, Mr. Peacock and you!

Ludmila -- Verrry funny story about Ferdi! No question but that he knew he was not being a good cat!! Silver asked to go out on the porch today (it was -18 C). So I let him out and then stood by the door to watch him. He tried holding up one paw, then another, and finally gave up, meowed at me to open the door, and rushed back in the house :-))

Paw waves to all..........................Semper Knut!.........................Long Live Knutitours!

Caren - The main reason for starting Knutitours was to save the little stories (not only my own but also other's) in one place. We used to post them in the rbb blog but, of course, they 'disappeared' very quickly. I'm glad to hear they are not forgotten. - I didn't realize from the beginning what a suitable name Knutitours is - it has really been a long tour and we never know what's going to happen next. Somehow things just happen. :D

Oh my, I thought the bears were shoveling snow outside but now I understand they're trying to put the cake together again. Heaven knows it's not so easy to transport a large snow cake in a shaking bus! :D

Leti - Thank you for your kind greetings!

I'm raising my glass to all of you who have been and still are joining our magical tour! Cheers!

Good Evening, Dear Alle!

This afternoon, a huge pink bus parked in front of the Olympic Park. Within one or two minutes a crowd of polar bears got off the bus. As there is quite some snow in this area, they immediately started building a birthday cake for Knutitours acc. to the plans of the Alaska Zoo. The cake was of course so huge, that they had problems getting it into the bus. I do not know how the clever bears solved the problem, I had to stop watching them from my office window ;)

Annemarie - again I missed the "Windbeutel". When I returned to my desk during the day I found one right on top of the keyboard, nicely decorated with some caviar. I wonder who had left the yammy food in my office :)
Again, I would like to thank you so much for your morning services. They are always entertaining and soooo yammy :)

Dumba - thank you for moving the midnight and after midnight comments for Knutitours and Mervi into the new thread.

Knuti-Judi - thanks for the article about Rambo Hudson. Isn't it amazing how the weight diagram increased in a relatively short time?

Crissi - ha, ha, we do have a new "Ice Princess" in Knuipe ;)

Teddybärenmutti - Hoffentlich geht es Dir inzwischen besser und Du bist halbwegs fit für die Party ! Der Gesundheitstee wird Dir bestimmt guttun.

Mervi - I often read here in the left column, all these stories are wonderful, heartwarming and witty at the same time. It is always a nice finish of my lunch break and often I do enjoy these old days with a strong coffee to get well through the afternoon.

Leti and Christine - I am waving my paws to you.

Inge - are you fit for the party tonight? Rasputin will give you a lift in the pink bus. How is that?

:) Here's to Knutitours and Mervi :)

Thank you all for your kind words but let me remind you that a blog without bloggers would be a very lonely 'tour'. I want to thank you all for our magical Knutitour during the five years and I certainly hope we will have many more years together. So much has happened and so much will be happening in the future!

Dumba - I'm truly touched by your kind and encouriging words and the votes. But as I already wrote we are together in this 'blog business. - Oh yeah, I'm deeply in love with Friday! :D

Caren - I'm glad you liked the lunch litterature. :D

Crissi - In half an hour I'll be closing the office door behind me and hurry back to Knuipe. I'm sure the first fluffy guests will be soon knocking on the door! :D

Ludmila - Are you still here? Let's enjoy Annemarie's Windbeutels!

I just visited Cora's den and today I was really lucky. There was a lot of action in the den. Cora was stretching her legs and it seemed to me she wanted to go out but at the same time she didn't want to leave the cubbies. The little rascals were playing with each other so I think everythings fine with the lovely family.
