Die Knuipe

Green, green grass of home

Dear friends! The Easter holidays is yesterday now and we can hopefully start waiting for the Summer. The Spring has been very strange this year but let's hope we won't be having more snow.... There's no new story this time but I think you will love to walk on the memory lane and remember our sweet gardener Knuti. He was a white bear with 'green paws'!

The green grass was Knuti's playmate

Good morning! Guten Morgen! Dear fluffy angel - it's almost noon now but I spent a long time admiring photos of your little sister. She's a lucky girl having a very special guardian angel.

Knuti-Judi - Congratulations! Numero Uno again! As Susan suggested the reward today is Spring flowers. What makes the prize so special is that you have to pick them yourself. I wish you best of luck finding beautiful flowers! :D

Caren - I've been a little - no, let's be honest - I've been very envious to all going to Wuppertal this weekend but then I found Ute's fantastic report in KWM. You had the perfect timing in publishing it today! The sweet cubbie girl certainly puts a spell on us all. What a sweetie! All the photos are wonderful but this one melted my heart:

Dave - Good old Tom Jones! The title of this thread was, of course, inspired by that song. - Thank you for the mail, I sent you an answer already. Do I hear an applause? - Happy Birthday to your mother!

Dumba - Mia looks lovely! No wonder you are so fond of her. I'll look the photo stream later today. As you guessed there are lots of things going on the back stage of KWM. :D

Susan - Thanks to all the photo aunties and uncles we have a treasure chest of photos and videos of our Knuti. He will always be with us.

Ludmila - I wish you a great time in Wuppertal. I hope you can reserve a 'front seat' when visiting the enclosure of Vilma and Anori. I always remember how it was in Bärlin by the feeding time - although our Berliner friends made their best to reserve a place for this 'Shortie'. :D

Sarsam - I wish you and your knusband a great day! Please, deliver my best birthday wishes to him.

Madame Fatou - Compared to me you're still a young lady! I wish you the best birthday ever!

Teddybärenmutti - Thanks for the emails! I hope I can do 'something' about you-know-what. :D

In general I hate the crowds too. This time there are all the people which I really like. It would be the crowd of friends.
Ich trinke gern Kaffee mit Dir :)

Good Morning, Dear alle!

Mervi - Thank you so much for the new thread. The pics are simply lovely but remind me on my "duties" in the garden.

Teddybärenmutti - Leider nein, wir schaffen das nicht ohne Übernachtung. Im Moment is bernd so oft unterwegs, dass er lieber einen freien Tag zuhause verbringen möchte.

Ludmila - when I read Ute's report I was thinking about all of you in the middle of the crowd. I hate crowds and hope to see Anori later.
I need a strong coffee now, too :D

Sarsam - please forward my Happy Birthday Wishes to your knusband.

Susan - the pic makes me very sad.

Knuti-Judi - you were the Number 1, how many oxtails and crystals do you have? Congratulations

Dumba - your album is not forgotten.

Dave - I am sending paw waves!

Now I have to hurry!

Good morning! Guten Morgen!

Thank you for the new story. The pictures of LeenaP are wonderful.
Unfortunately I cannot watch your video
Thank you for the news about Mia. I keep my fingers cross for her
I am thrilled about our visit in Wuppertal. I am afraid about traffic jam and about many people in front of enclosure. There are not much space in front of glass in Wuppertal
Now I need a pot of strong coffee

I'm burning the midnight oil tonight. Thought I would share this link to one of my mother's favourites. She was never fussy about Mr. Presley, but this guy was her Elvis.

Buy your lottery tickets today and use up your bad luck on them.

Sarsam - Happy Birthday to your hubby.

Mervi... Thank you for the new thread... and another wonderful photo of our sweet boy.

k-j... Congratulations on the first post! I wonder if your oxtail will be accompanied by some spring flowers? The photo of the chimpanzee funeral is haunting; it made me think of the photo of the Hellabrunn elephants saying goodbye to little Lola. I see things like that and wonder how anyone could ever say that animals don't have feelings.

Dumba... Mia has such a sweet face... I continue to send good wishes to her and all who love her. I look forward to my next visit to the CCC with you!

Inge... Continued positive thoughts to Wapiti, to you and little Rose.

Time to head to the mulch...

MERVI - Thank you for the new posting and all the new stories and photo material you obviously inserted in the meantime into KWM !
KNUTi-style hug to you !

CAREN - Also thanks in anticipation for several contributions in KWM I didn?t see/read so far.

KNUDY - You are right: " WHAT A BEAUTIFUL BEAR ! "
Congratulations for being double-FIRST ;-) !
The photo of the chimpanzee funeral gives a rather peaceful and ritual-like impression to me
rather than a sad one. In any case it's amazing! Thank you for showing.

Lots of birthday children today!

- dear FATOU for her 55th birthday !
- dear DAVE-knama for her 75th birthday !
- dear SARSAM-knubby for his 70th birthday !

Health - happiness - and lots of pleasant events during the next 365 days fff :-)

I met MIA yesterday, and even though, she had her surgery as planned,
she behaved all normal and was friendly as usual, approached me tail-wagging,
and even gave 'Pfoetchen' (I never asked her for something like that! It's her free
decision! . . .). She is my hero!
