Dear friends! Let's enjoy this Winter season despite of the tough time! The Christmas will come, the new year will come even though we can't carry on with our traditions this year. After the Winter the Spring will come, too ....

Yeo - Thanks for the report from the zoo! It's a pity so many people still refuse to follow the 'corona rules'. At least you could meet Katjuscha without crowds around you.

Ralph - We never do anything special on the New Year's Eve. We must try to calm down our cats when the fireworks begin. I certainly hope it will be more peaceful this time. I also hope there will be no fireworks close to the Orsa Predator Center! Ewa and her baby need all the peace and quiet they can get!
Ludmila - I already saw some fantastic photos from Brocken in FB. The snow dressed trees are so beautiful!

We spent a day with hiking to Broken. We met some people, but not very many. It is the winter on the Broken.
The pleasure of shopping, especially in the many "Charity" shops, is finfing a new book, decorative item or even an item of clothing. It is especially true at Christmas when many have a "Polar Bear" theme. London with its store displays and big Winter market was especially fun.
Meeting friends for a meal or drink and then huddling down in a nice warm bus for the two hour journey to Oxford with my radio on thanks to my little phone. Well, maybe next year.

Hello dear all!
Ich war heute im Zoo. Es war so voll, dass die Leute Schlange standen um ueberhaupt rein zu kommen. Auf den Wegen gingen die Leute im Gaensemarsch. Bei jedem Tier standen sie dicht beieinander. Ich bin immer auf Abstand geblieben.
Nur bei Lady Katjuscha war es etwas ruhiger. Dort konnte ich eine Pause machen. Der alten Dame geht es gut. Sie lag vor ihrer Hoehle und schlief.
Das Wetter war heute herrlich. Die Sonne schien.

Ralph - None of us had expected we would be battling against the virus even next year. We can only hope the lock downs and the vaccinations will put an end to this night mare.

Sisu seems to stay white rather like Kati in Berlin. The three other bears are all various shades of brown.

GUTEN TAG
Heute war es wieder recht angenehm und nachmittags schaute sogar die Sonne raus.
Letzte Einkaeufe des Jahres wurden getaetigt und danach ging es an den Ruderverein.
Dort konnte ich einen der seltenen Zwergtaucher bei der Arbeit beobachten.
MERVI - am Wochenende soll es kaelter werden, vielleicht gibt es dann Schnee.
LUDMILA - ich verstehe nicht, warum NRW die Zoos geschlossen haelt ?
Jedes Bundesland macht was anderes, das ist kontraproduktiv.
DUMBA - mein Postfach spinnt auch manchmal und spuckt
Mails erst Tage spaeter im Paket aus - sehr merkwuerdig.
Es ist Tee-Zeit - vielleicht mit einem Schuss Rum !?

Gestern poppte bei mir ploetzlich eine Spitzengardine mit guten Wuenschen vom 23.12.2020(!) up.
Danke Chris.
Gestern Abend war ich im Neubaugebiet bei einer ehemaligen direkten Nachbarin zum Kaffee und zur Wohnungsbesichtigung eingeladen und hatte das Glueck von dort oben einen himmlisch schoenen Mond, teilweise Wolken-verdeckt miterleben zu koennen. Foto koennt Ihr im Backroom sehen.
Ich wuensche allen einen erquicklichen vorletzten Tag im Jahr 2020!
