Dear friends! I don't know how many zoo reports I have published during the last four years but they are many!! I have often wondered how a report from the other side of the fence would look like - maybe something like this:

DUMBA -- Oh no--I was just afraid you thought I had not responded to your requests to get Gandy's reaction to Alfred!! As for Alfred--what I should have said is that he is very thorough about cleaning and sorting all his thousands of feathers. It is amazing to me that birds are able to take care of so many feathers every day. As for Mac--you are right (you have sharp eyes)--I did not see the white on the right side of the paws! Anyway he is a little charmer! By the way, I really like The Platters :-))

BTW: Did you see in the photos of ?MAC the FOX? that not only the end of his tail is white but also his right hand side paws! Cute!
Had to look up ?meticulous preener? but unfortunately did only find ?meticulous? (pedantisch, peinlich genau). Boggle means ?erschrecken?. We use to say ?seine Visitenkarte hinterlassen? for the same thing you call ?calling cards?. ALFRED?s human friend told that this is exactly the reason, why the keepers are not so please that he made tight friend with him and uses to be beside him on the bench. // Golden rods are really beautiful, even though they are rather common plants! // Thank you for your kind comments. I always appreciate them a lot, really I do.

CAREN -- Good, I'm glad you agree about the description of Yoghi--he may be a cuddly and gentle teddy bear, but he is no cowering coward :-)))) (Would not want to hurt his feelings....)

Sarsam - ah, I think "hide and stalk" may have described the situation better, this was most funny. The bears and the working crew had a lot of fun together.
Dumba - the black spots may have come from some little friendly fights with Frl. Giovanna. I do not think that it is a rezidiv from the little injury he had in Tierpark Berlin.
Mervi - these names would probably be too obvious
