Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

Posted by Mervi on December 22, 2017 at 5:25 AM

Dear friends! This is my favourite season of the year and I hope you will enjoy the Christmas trees, candles and snow flakes, too, even if the snow in many cases is only virtual.

Hello Dear All, on Friday evening, I was having problems to enter the Knuipe and yesterday, I was just too busy.
But hey, now I have some lovely news. Our sweet Kai-Mook gave birth and I hope that the link is working. It is barely to believe: 8 years ago, Belgium was waiting for the birth of Kai-Mook and now she is also a mother. I remember that when Temi gave birth to Ludwig, Caren was very worried because the mother was only 9 nine years old. Well, actually, now, I am also asking whether Kai Mook is already old enough. But apparently, it seems that mother and child are doing fine. And this baby (so far gender still unknown - no Dumba, I was not having a possibility to check the gender of the baby ? HIHIHI) is according to the news a little ?giant?. Already bigger that Siku (daughter of May Tagu). I hope that the links are working.

And today, big miracle: the sun came but for the rest of the week, it will really be Winter weather again. Na ja, it that time of the year for such weather, isn?t it.
I am glad that the fire is working good again and it is a pleasure to come home in a warm house. And also, Christobal is doing fine: no problems to take the new medicaments (crushed to powder and mingled in his food).

Ludmila - Enjoy your orange juice!

Ralph - Knowing Uncle Sergej I'm sure he will add a little something in your drink. Hmm, his opinion of 'little' may differ from yours ..... :D

Chris - We do our shopping in different shops, too, and even on a market sometimes.

My mother was a big fan of english orange marmelade.
Like you, she prefered to eat it on buttered toast.
In the morning I like cheese or peanut butter. :)

MERVI - I must confess, that I´ve never been in a Lidl Shop.
I go to a very good Bio-Laden: o.k. it costs a little more, but
who cares, if the quality is o.k..Then I buy at the butcher or
the bakery and on saturdays a visit at the local market,
where you have all products fresh from the producer. :)

I will join in an Orange Juice but maybe Uncle Sergei can add ablittle something.
The traditional eggs and bacon was very much the Downton Abbey breakfast so I am afraid Mervi is stuck with being a Lady.
In any case like our white furry friends we are free to eat and drink what webplease, although Knuti did hsvecstrong views on lettuce instead of croissants or fish.

Teddybärenmutti - Maybe we can run the half marathon together in Berlin? :D

Chris - Lidl has many kinds of good sausages. When Lidl came to Sweden we thought they would sell food of lower quality but it's been surprising to see their food - most of it - is actually of good quality.

Ludmila - I'll have a Not So Bloody Mary as my night cap. :D

Inge - We had a chilly day, too, but not very Winter like.

Ralph - I guess a lady shouldn't have eggs and bacon as her favourite breakfast but I never claimed I'm a lady. :D

Back at home after an excellent day in Oxford.
On the theme of the English breakfast my favourite version is
toast and orange marmalade with either tea or coffee. Toasting bread and adding butter and marmalade or ordinary fruit jam is a necessity in a grey damp climate. Although I enjoy croissants or Broetchen as well, toast is quick and easy to make.

Mervi, you have been to the dentist. All the best for you. Here a rainy but not cold day.

Dumba, all the best for the mountain lions cubs. So cute to see.

The everstarving are doing well and so is also the little fostercat.

Evening greetings from Copenhagen

MERVI - I have never tasted the Lidl Würstel.
I think, you´ll get the best in Nürnberg at the
original Würstel-Braterei. :)

TBM - ich trinke etwas mit und wünsche
Risto alles Gute für die Untersuchung. :)

Dumba - I wish the three mountain lion babies best of luck and hope they will all make it. So far it looks good!

Chris - We often buy Nürnberger Bratwurst in Lidl but I'm not sure if it's the same you like. It's very good anyway! :D

Ralph - I know an English breakfast isn't exactly what I need either but on the other hand - eating well is one of delights in our lives so why shouldn't we allow us to enjoy it! :D

Chris - We can make the English breakfast a bit Berlinerish by changing the blood sausage to a really good 'Currywurst'! :D - I'm lifting my hat to thre rowers! - The Swedish swan is very beautiful!

Britta-Gudrun - I hope you had a pleasant 'daktari' visit - if that kind of visits can be said to be pleasant. I'm afraid of doctors and dentists ...

Leti - Hello to Greece!

Ludmila - Are you here for a late afternoon Herkules?

Alles was Du sagst
