Summer is almost here!

Dear friends! The end of April was unusually cold but May has shown us a sunny face. Let's hope this is the beginning of the Summer period. This time of the year is a perfect time to visit our fourlegged friends in different zoos. Not only because there are sweet babies but also to say 'hello' to the adult animals. I'm looking forward to wonderful reports in KWM! :-)

Dumba - I almost forgot. There seems to be a special attraction.
It was impressive. When Mr Peacock was calling Tommi, he'd have loved to say 'hello'. Remember what a peacock sounds like? Geht fast durch Mark und Bein.

BAERGIT - Do you remember TOMMI's encounter with a peacock during
his visit a TIERPARK BERLIN?

Hello Dear Alle!

Mervi - We had a great Sunday with good food at a restaurant that even held a surprise in store for Tommi, a majestic peacock.
Oh boy, he'd have loved to find out about his special outfit, the long feathers all up in the air :D

Ludmila - Limoncello after the garden work is a good idea!
Did you make it yourself?

Ralph - Viel Spaß beim Reisen!
Please blow Nobby lots of kisses!

Chris, Ludmila - Fingers crossed Vesuv keeps 'sleeping'.
One catastrophe should be enough.

Chris - I'm not watching the game but I wish your team best of luck! :D

Christine - Beary Thursday greetings to you, too!

Ludmila - Wow, Uncle Sergej must be very happy about the fresh lemons! Cheers! :D

now the womens European Cup Final starts.
Maybe you can watch it on Eurosport!? :)
WOLSBURG - LYON aus Reggio Emilia.

Autos "fressen uns Haare vom Kopf" ;)

RALPH - gute Reise nach Doncaster! :)
Bitte grüße Nobby und Nissan von uns!

Its very humid and warm here.
Thunderstorms are predicted
for the whole weekend...

LUDMILA - I hope, they´ll
do something in Pompej. :)
Under Berlusconi they did
nothing for reconstruction.

I think, Renzi has a heart
for the arts and history! :)

Es kann auch zu einem
spontanen Ausbruch
kommen - dann hat
man keine Warnzeit.
Es ist sehr schwer
einen großen Aus-
bruch vorher genau
zu dedektieren, die
stehen da noch
am Anfang! :)

Because Ralph is going to Doncaster on Saturday to meet Nobby I thought one of Anita's 'Hellabrunn classics' would be very suitable for publishing in KWM today. You can see Nela and Nobby as they were two years ago!

Annemarie - Thank you so much for the surprise the mail man brought us today! :D

Chris - It has stopped raining now but maybe there will be more ... the nature certainly needs it.

Ludmila - The volcano eruption such a long time ago still affects us strongly. What a disaster it was. - Mimmi and Nalle can be in a deep sleep but when they hear the fridge door open they come faster than a lightning. :D

Dumba - The photo of the bird against the dark sky is fantastic.

Ralph - You must be 'ausser Rand und Band' now that Saturday is getting closer and you can look forward to meeting our Nobby and his pals. Knowing Ursula I'm sure the 'photo matter' will be solved in no time. :D However, a report is a combination of words and pictures so I'm really exciting to read what you will tell us about your trip!

Knuti-Judi - Have a happy weekend which in your case starts later today! :D

Vesa has fetched our car from the service and the bill was almost 800 euros. Es ist TEUER!!!

for your forthcoming trip to DONCASTER https://yorkshirewildlifepark.com/

Liebe Annemarie Danke fuer deine kleine Ueberraschung. Sehr schoen.

I am nearly ready to travel to Doncaster on Saturday to meet Uli. As my phones are not very good at photos I am hoping to ask Uli to let me use some of her photos. I am just hoping to be able to find out as much as possible about the bears and perhaps talk to some of the keepers as I did at Zoo am Meer. The weather seems to be okay, but it can change very quickly in England.
I will try and do some kind of report next week, although my Berlin and Rostock trips are looking a bit complicated, as I miss the Knutitis crew at the Zoo in the morning and may not get there in time for the meal. Travel is very difficult to link in.
I meant to apologise for not sending cards etc, I do not keep an address book these days and rely on e-mails for communications. If anyone would like a card please e-mail or message me your address

Hello friends at coffee time!
You can see the sculptures of Igor Mitoraj here:
It is possible that there are only copies of the bodies at Pompey.
At our visit many streets at the area were closed because of the construction works. The area is huge.
There is an evacuation plan in Neapel for the case Vesuvius will erupt again. The scientists claim that it is possible to predict the eruption within 3 days.
How is your gardering? Micha mowed the lawn, but I have to mowe some places, which Micha always misses :)
Is your refrigerator at the work working again?
Wasja likes our refrigerator :) He points each day that there has to be the fresh meat inside.

Have a good THURSDAY everyone

It's a grey day in the CCC comparable to those days
we had so many of in the past months
But hopefully and luckily we can trust it's only ONE day now.
Would like to be the bird. All free and light in the air ;)

BAERGIT - Danke, dass Du uns diese tollen Skulpturen
in Pompeji vorgestellt hast. Hinter dem Link verbirgt sich
ein toller Kopf! Danke. . . .Ich habe mal nach mehr dieser
modernen Kunst dort recherchiert - leider nichts gefunden,
wo man das ganze Gelaende mal gesehen haette.
Aber sehr viel sehr 'freizuegige' Kunst
der antiken Art ist bei der Recherche erschienen ;)
