Santa Claus is coming to town

After a wonderful weekend in Bärlin we're back in the normal - well, as normal as life can be for the Wild Herd.

Flocke and Raspi are eagerly waiting for Santa Claus just like Knuti, Gianna, Wilbär, Ewa, Nanook, Arctos, Milak and all the other bear boys and girls. I hope all their wishes will come true!

You've been wondering why we are giggling when we say or write the word 'teuer'. Teddybärenmutti has now given you an explanation. I think this is already a classic:

Es ist teuer!

Ludmila -- Are not those photos of Lars and Jerka wonderful!! I especially like the one where Lars is on his back laughing with all four feet in the air and Jerka has her front paws on his chest. Perhaps he is ticklish?! Also, am I wrong or is she beginning to favor one of his ears (a la Corinna and Anton)... :-) They really seem to like each other.

Ludmila -- Thank you much for the link to Lars and Jerka! So Minka and Ryzik are too mature/sophisticated to play with Christmas ornaments!!

Knut evening, I want to say Hyvää syntymäpäivää to dear Vesa.

In Bearlin the weather is becoming rather ugly, no more snow but rain, and slippery streets..

I would like to drink a glass of mulled wine on Vesa. Cheers!!!

You are right, it is better to sleep at home as in airport. You know, it is anyway sad.
I hope tomorrow will be all better.
Minka and Ryzik were not interested in decoration.

PATRICIA -- Keeping all fingers crossed for good weather for your sister's trip to you! Merry Christmas to both of you!!

LUDMILA --Gorgeous tree! Will Minka and Ryzik redecorate it?? Your daughter's flight was cancelled due to the weather? Much better to have it cancelled than to have to sit in Chicago waiting for the weather to clear. I had to do that many years ago (wait in Chicago) on a flight from Oregon to New Jersey. It was very boring and hot because they would not let us off the plane while we waited!

Hello. Do you like to drink a glass Knusecco with me? I hope tomorrow my daughter will fly home.

Good evening folks!

Dear Vesa!I wish you a nice party!
Our daughter is still in Springfield. Her flight to Chicago is canceled and she is trying to get the other possibility.
She will fly first tomorrow at 11 a.m. and will come on 24.12 at 1 p.m. Important is that she will come. I am worried and annoyed.
Caren
I wish you a good weather and all the best.
Velvet
Your story about Velvet cat is nice. Our Minka goes often in the snow and then she runs inside. In ten minutes she forgets that snow is cold and wet and wants outside again. Ryzik shows only his nose outside and then he goes backwards inside.

Celinne
I am very sorry about kittens. Good that they have enough food.
Concerning surfing: Ryzik is not an amateur. He does not wear thong. He has a black surf suit and he wears trapeze.
Sarsam, Celinne
At the picture with Vera, Raspi moved with his back on the window. In the one of first videos of Knut, Knut and TD stood at the glass window for the big bear?s enclosure. Lars did the same move as Raspi.
Then a video of Knut with Kagu, Knut rolled on his back too. I think this move has a meaning.

Good evening Dear All, hope all is well with you.
AAAAHHH, still one more day to work and than vacation! I am really looking forward to that!!
Here in Belgium (well at least in Leuven and Brussels), the snow is melting. And in all honesty, I do not regret because one of my sisters has to bring Christa, our youngest, this Satudday to spend the rest of the year with me. And as you know I adore the ideaof having her with me so I was actually getting a little scared that due to slippery roads, it would not be possible. So, please, cross your fingers that everything goes well.

OK, Dave, now you have written the magic words "hoping to meet one day in Berlin". This means that from now on, you will have to start a piggy bank to make sure you can come to Europe. Have I ever said that my father was born in Edmonton but spent most of his young life in Toronto (well, until the second World War, then he met my mother and stayed in Belgium of course).
And now, Dear All, sleep well.

Greetings!

Oh what a delight to see all the entries so far today! Just wonderful.

VESA - Happy Birthday! I hope you have had a great day with your new fuzzies, Nalle and Mimmi!

VELVET -- Thank you so much for the information on your horses and your Velvet cat story! Just delightful. I can just imagine the joy you must have felt to have Anira born right into your arms--and the relief that Luzi and Anira were both okay. That is amazing that you actually have to cut Luzi's fur in winter! But her daughter needs a coat and a blanket! Is 18 considered middle aged or old for a horse? Our cats are indoor cats, but they have a screened-in porch they can play on--we have a cat flap in one window so they can go and come as they wish--except in winter. The window is closed now and they can only go out when we open the door to the porch. They all want to go "visit" the porch, but only for a few minutes. This morning Sarah asked to go out and 2 minutes later was at the window with one paw held up meowing pitifully to be let in!! Of course this happens all throughout the day and evening :-))

CELINNE -- That is very good news that you have some help in feeding the kittens. I'm losing track of time--about how old are they now? You are right, Ryzik is a truly handsome man-cat.

KNUTI-JUDI -- Wow, I am really impressed with your Christmas decorations, especially the cookies :-)))

Hugs to all, Sarsam
