Herr Server and his mean family members are causing confusion again! The latest comments appear on the last page instead of the first. Never mind, we always find the way to our Knuipe - no matter if we have to go through the frontdoor, the backdoor or the chimney!!

URGENT MESSAGE! You can get access to every side by clicking on the wanted number with right mouse button and choosing open in new window ... wanted page opens in new window.

On June 5.  our dear Knuti is 2½ years young! Oh boy, the time flies. I remember so well my first visit to Knuti two years ago. i had fallen in love with him already but after seeing him and TD playing together I knew my knutitis will never be cured - and I don't want it to be cured either! There's a big celebration in Bärlin but Knuti hasn't forgotten us who had to stay home either. He has written a newsletter for us:

Knuti's newsletter 1/2009

From now on Flocke and Raspi are having monthly birthdays, too, so remember the 11. of every month!

Good Morning Dear All-
I wish you'll have a nice TGIF. Looking forward to meeting you tonight in Knuipe!

Dear Patricia
Thanks again for the nice pics. One can see that a lot of heartblood is in there.

SARSAM-
I am now very happy about Wilbär, Ewa and Pernilla in Orsa and that Wilbär'S parents Anton and Corinna are together again, being happy and playing a lot. I do agree with you of course tht Knut is very intelligent and adoptable. I think a good solution for him will come. As Zar Raspi and Flocke's Mom Vera are flirting heavily there seems to be a real chance for ......(?)

LEAF-
please take care of yourself. I do send you a lot of wishes for a quick recovery

Good morning folks!
Dear Waiter, it is so nice to sit here with you and drink coffee. Flocke and Raspi are still sleeping.
Mervi
How do you celebrate the midsummer?
Paula
The Winter Solstice activities sounded very interesting, special for our fluffy friends. In the moment I am waiting for the really warm summer, but we have rain and clouds. We can not do the proper summer activities. It is wicked weather.

Leaf
Take care of the flu.

Sarsam
Yesterday it was a bit late for the drink. We can do that today in the evening.

Wolfgangsmama
How are you?

Have a nice Friday

The links are now fixed, everyone. I mean at KWM.
It was the Apache this time. Remember the Apache server at RBB? Yes, thats the same one that was the problem with the magazine too. Fixed now.
I'm in the middle of a big flu or something, finally caught up with me too. But I'll be fine soon.
Mervi, it was soooo lovely to hear your voice in the video. First time for me!
You're such a lovely person, in person. And Pernilla is such a talker- her love for Wilbar shines through. She goes on and on and on about him. I think. Because I didn't understand anything.
Btw Mervi, maybe you should update the title of the post with: UPDATE: the title. So that everyone knows there's more added.

I return.

*phew. having fought my way past the Server Family, seeing the note posted on Die Knuipe door by Herr Waiter, climbed up onto the roof and then down the chimney, and now... I'm in, dusting off soot.*

Firstly, Leaf, I hope you are feeling much better!

Mervi: thank you for your wonderful report and photos about our polar family at Orsa.

I haven't time to go through everything I've missed. I trust those of you in "the North" will be enjoying Midsummer days- this weekend we have Winter Solstice activities. A big street parade and fair up in the Blue Mountains, west of Sydney, and there is also an outdoor ice rink in Sydney city (the first time in 50 years), with winter stalls and films screening. (Herr Waiter, if only you were here.)

BH to alle.

Hi Ludmila - If you are still here, may I have a Knuseco with you?

Caren -- You were right to be cautious in your opinion about zoo versus Orsa. We really did not know until Mervi was able to meet with Pernilla how Wilbar and Ewa would be treated. From experience I know you get a different "feel" of a zoo/park by going behind the scenes. You can pick up little things that you do not see by just being a usual visitor. Mervi's being able to see first-hand how a sick Ewa reacted to Pernilla was instructive. Your caution with respect to Knut (being a human-raised bear at Orsa) is still valid. However, personally I think Knut is very intelligent and adaptable and would have a better than good chance of being happy there. I am not voicing a preference of home for Knut--I just want him to be in a great facility with a female companion--and soon!

Bea -- I really enjoyed your description of the sunset that came from Malmo!!!

Bear hugs to all,
Sarsam

Dear Patricia-
thanks a lot for the first aid. Do not worry, the quality is perfect as we all do as good as we can.
Since I have my new camera the bears are perfect, but I myself need an anti-wrinkle mask every day, as the pics reveal everything. I put a sticker on the camera "Mind the make-up"!
Thanks again and Good Night

Danke Herr Ober!. Du hast persöhnlich Hintertuer geöffnet..

Wir sollen unbedingt ueber Fam Servers Problemen sprechen. Haben sie Problemen mit Fam. Servers Kinder? Brauchen sie vielleicht Kurator? Was fuer eine Hilfe braucht Fam. Server..

Knusecco und zum Schluss mit Freunden plaudern.

Good evening Dear all,

Oh my, am I glad that things are working again.
OK, Mervi, from now on, you stay home. Because when you leave and more particialry leave us ALL ALONE, the enemy (Server Family) is playing dirty games with us.
Yes Sarsam, I was also already suffering of certain 'cold turkeys'.
But, now I have to thank also Rosemary for her report and pics. I remember that you asked for my Saturday plans because you both wanted to make a tour. Unfortunately as you will remember I had to leave Berlin that same day. So, the only thing I could arrange and hope for was meeting Ludmila and her husband again and even that was way toooo short. Apart form a few words, we barely had the time to enjoy each others company. Hope to get a new chance in September. Ludmila, I will be there too again. And Rosemary and Shane, hopefully, you both can make it. UUUPPS, it seems that this message is going to be filled with "hope". Na ja, there is not sin in hoping, isn't it.
Always when I read other people's reactions and feelings regarding Berlin, I know that have to do more that staying in the Zoo, but as always again, time is going too fast to go somewhere else. Exactly as I am saying every time again that I have to visit the aquarium. But so far, no chance yet. Time is going too fast.
Sarah, great story of the Chelsea Gang. Please continue to bring us such news. And by the way, der Lady, WAW, they are looking gorgeous. And based on what I can see on the pics and my "knowledge" of cats, I have the impression that they are not small at all !!

And I adored the story of the Orsa kids. Of course, they are taking good care of, who for God's sake was doubting this. Sometimes, for me it is very confusing to hear other people's reaction (na ja, most probably I am either a dummy or naieve). They have their own mind (OK, so far no problem, I have mine as well) but I learned - and maybe rather later in my life - that their words are not always - hmmppff let say - reliable. Well, one day I will learn to live with this too.
Dear Caren, you can find my pics here: go to the subtitle LINKS, Patricia photos, Berlin 7 and there they are. But again, I am not a qualified ^photo auntie or so. I only take the pics as good as I can.
And now, I need a 'facial mask to clean the skin n effort to avoid further wrinkles' and my shower.
And ... promised, I will read the last days again tomorrow and hopefully I do not forget somebody then, well at least to bring regards or so.
Almost .. ZZZzzzzzz
BUT, Luisa, now we can start counting the days !!!!! JIIPPPIIIEEE

Knock,knock,knock.
Yeaaaah , it works. The Knuipe is open again.
Mervi, of course we will open the gigabottle Knusecco. Reopening of the knuipe needs a party.
Yesterday I saw an amazing sunrise. But than I realized that there was no sun the whole day. It must be the red volcano from Malmö. Poor serverfamily. hehehe.

Caren, I heared the magic words. Here I am for a drink and a fag.

Sarah - London, the Chelsea Gang is great. I had a good laugh imagining Sydney stealing the sausage.

Patricia Roberts, your fotos are wonderful. I was back in Berlin when I saw them.

Leaf, keep in your bed. Take good care of you. I cross my fingers that you are well very soon.

Sarsam, greetings to you.

Now I take a drink and a fag, you can find me in the smokers corner.

Dear Leaf - I can hear you coughing....it doesn't sound good at all! The Waiter is bringing you herbal tea and the most important medicine of all - his bear hugs! The KWM is coming back - please, don't get stressy about it. We've had the same problem before and I'm sure everything will be OK - let's have a little patience. I know you're laughing when you hear the word patience coming from my mouth but I'm trying.....

Dear Waiter - please, hurry, you must make Leaf feel better!

Caren - Of course we will open a bottle of Knusecco and I think some other bottles as well now that we're in business again! - I can assure you that Wilbär and Ewa are taken care in the best possible way. Maybe it's the different type of 'concept' that make people think there's no contact between the keepers and the bears. When Ewa wasn't feeling well she immediately came to meet Pernilla when we were in the nner part' ot fhe enclosure. We didn't take photos but there's a short glimpse of the meeting on the video - we wanted to respect the 'privacy'.

Ludmila - Oh yes, it's necessary to have at least two knuputors...or more if there are more family members. We've had a war of the access to my laptop for a couple of days and I'm so happy there's peace now that the knusband's got his new toy!

Sarsam - Yesterday evening I got a mail from Orsa telling me that Ewa is just fine and is now playing with Wilbär in the great enclosure. I hope it will stop raining in Orsa so they can enjoy the sun that never goes down. Yes, in northern Finland and Sweden the sun never sets this time of the year. It never gets dark....

Cheers, friends!

Hi alles,
I am still sick, feel terrible. Thanks for your kind messages.
I just came for a quick hug from our fluffy waiter. It's the best medicine of all.
Can I get a good long hug dear? Danke... my Knuti pie. And you too Raspi and Flocke.
Maybe I'll have a tea with lemon and honey.
Ill be back soon, hopefully will feel better. Thankfully Knuipe's back on. I missed you all.

There's a glitch again at KWM, trying to fix it with live support right now.

(cough, cough)..
