Dear friends! Now it's only a few days to go until it's Christmas Eve. I hope you have posted your Christmas cards, bought your gifts, prepared the food but most of all - I hope you can put yourselves into the right Christmas spirit. If you have no time to do everything - don't do it. BABY BEAR DON'T CARE!
I have no story for you in this thread becaurse I'm preparing a Christmas edition of KWM. I hope it will be ready next Friday.

I love Christmas for that it means, but every year is more stressful.... the days pass very fast and there is not enough time for everything that I would like to do. Happily my present of Christmas is already gotten right, I will be arriving in Berlin April 18 and I hope to find all you. To be in Berlin and with you it is always the high point of my year, it is the sensation of Christmas in another time.
I wish all have a Christmas full of Blessings and Happiness and that the magic of Knut touch your heart in the Christmas night.
MERRY CHRISTMAS and a great hug in the heart of each one.
Ah... I received a very special present today, the card of Berlin and I was a very, very happy, to do part of this gang and to be reminded by you mke to have faith of a next year with more time and health.

Enjoy your "UPPESITTARKVÄLL" with your catsitter. What a great idea for the evening before Christmas to just make a PARTY in wrapping last gifts and tasting all the yammy food! I can easily imagine that this is often more fun than the 'real Christmas procedures'!! - I am convinced the polar bear company, leaded by OS is already on its way . . .

Nein, nein, keine Sorge, alles in Ordnung!
Das war so eine Art EmpfangsBestaetigung!!
Uebrigens sind keineswegs Deine EnglischKenntnisee 'duerftig', sondern meine Ausdrucksweise ist wohl eher unzulaenglich! Diese Neigung zu langen und auseinandergezogenen Sätzen ist vielen schon in der eigenen Sprache etwas anstrengend (gell ALEX!!??) und in einer FremdSprache wird's dann vermutlich mit allen unbeabsichtigt nicht so getroffenen Wendungen häufig leicht unverstaendlich - befuerchte ich zumindest aufgrund der hier schon haeufiger gemachten Erfahrungen, dass Dinge oft voellig anders oder ueberhaupt nicht verstanden werden. Nu ja, ich gelobe Besserung. Vermutlich mit dem Ergebnis "Sie hat sich bemueht!" ;-) d.h., wie so oft bleibt bestimmt alles beim Alten! ;-))

Na ja, diese "bis zur letzten Sekunde-Zeiten" sind meinem Gedaechtnis auch noch nicht ganz entfallen. Frueher bin ich jahrzehntelang an all solchen Feiertagen (mehr oder weniger direkt vom Schreibtisch wieder zum Schreibtisch) davor und danach noch anstrengende lange Strecken gefahren, ganz zu schweigen von der Mammut-Geschenke-Verpacker-undVersenderei. Allein fuer Geschenkpapier, Baendchen und Porto habe ich ganze Vermoegen ausgegeben. Jetzt bin ich faul und egoistisch - zudem haben sich die Zeiten geaendert - und SCHANDE: ich fuehle mich wohl dabei!

Wir haben heute 12°C - wenn ich so an letztes Jahr denke,
da hatte ich hier halbmeter hohe Haufen Schnee auf der Straße.
Die Stimmung ist dieses Jahr nicht so richtig Weihnachtlich......
Muß auch noch einiges erledigen, also bis später :wave::

Good morning! Guten Morgen! Dear fluffy angel - it's the day before Christmas Eve and we all have lots of things to do - that's my wild guess.....
I just popped in to say 'hi'. I thought we had done all the shopping but nope.... Our cat sitter comes in the evening for a 'uppesittarkväll' (Swedish expression for the evening before Christmas when people are wrapping their gifts and tasting all the yammy food. A kind of QC :D)
A new thread and the Christmas edition will be ready in the afternoon - at least I optimistically hope so! Have a pleasant day!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY VESA !!!!!!
It looks like we'll be having a green Christmas here in Waterloo. The temperatures have been Springlike for most of two weeks now with lots of rain. I keep climbing into my attic to check for leaks whenever there is a heavy downpour. I will definitely be replacing the roof in the Spring.
From what I have skimmed in Die Knuipe, it would seem someone from Canada wants to buy a polar bear cub. Unfortunately it's not me. I have enough work cleaning up after myself. And the food bills.... sky high!!! It would be nice to have one for a pet, but can you imagine talking him/her for a walk through the city? I don't think anyone should own a polar bear, especially after what happened in the United States earlier this year with those exotic animals. I hope the zoo thinks long and hard before they make any decision. As was said before...polar bears are priceless.
I will be fairly busy the next few days, so in case I can't make it to Die Knuipe I will now wish all of you a MERRY CHRISTMAS.
